Frequently asked questions
How often should AC coils be cleaned in South Florida?
Twice a year is the standard for Miami: before summer and after hurricane season. Filters should be changed every one to three months, sooner with pets.
Why is my AC leaking water?
Most often the condensate drain line is clogged with algae or sludge and the float switch shuts the system off. Flushing and treating the line usually solves it the same day.
Do you clean mini-splits?
Yes. We deep clean the indoor head, blower wheel and filters, and clean the outdoor unit.
What is the difference between AC cleaning and an AC tune-up?
A tune-up is a licensed HVAC service that includes refrigerant and electrical work. We do cleaning only: coils, drain line, filters, vents and ducts. If we see something that needs a licensed technician, we tell you.
Can dirty coils raise my FPL bill?
Yes. Dirt on the coils insulates them, so the system runs longer to reach the same temperature. Clean coils and a clear drain line are the cheapest way to lower cooling costs.
